Position: USG Advisor

Bio: Marilynn joined Mines in May 2022, beginning her journey as the RSO Coordinator before stepping into her current role as Assistant Director of Student Engagement in December 2023. In this role, she plays a key part in advising USG and supporting student leadership and involvement across campus. Although New Mexico is her home state, Marilynn has proudly called Colorado her home for over a decade, earning her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University (B.S.) and her graduate degree from the University of Northern Colorado (MA).

Favorite thing about USG: Her favorite thing about USG is how each year, no initiatives or projects are exactly alike, and students have the autonomy to decide on the unique issues they take on

Most notable Mines Achievement: She is a two-time Mines Chili Cook-Off Champion.

Hobbies: In her free time, Marilynn loves attempting to beat her previous year’s movie theater pass record (currently 34 movies) and spending time with her partner and chihuahua Truffles.
