Meet your Legislators
The senate serves as the legislative branch of the Undergraduate Student Government and their purpose is to advance the interests and promoting the welfare of Mines and its students through initiatives including town halls, listening sessions, passing legislative bills or resolutions, tabling events and programming related to student needs. Senators act as the formal representative of the student body’s interests to Mines faculty, staff, leadership, and greater Golden community. Senators are open to meet during senate or at the listed office hours.
Academic Affairs Committee
The mission of the Academic Affairs Committee is to serve as a liaison between undergraduate students, the administration, and faculty at Mines, working to ensure a high-quality academic experience. The committee is dedicated to upholding the rigor of Mines’ academic standards while fostering academic integrity, student success, and the continuous advancement of academic excellence on campus. Through a range of initiatives and programs, the committee strives to enhance the overall academic environment and support the growth of scholarly achievement.

The Student Services Committee is dedicated to improving the overall student experience by advocating for and enhancing non-academic services of the University. This includes working to improve university operations and policies. This committee is committed to engaging actively with students and stakeholders to address concerns, gather feedback, and ensure that university policies and programs reflect the best interests of the undergraduate student body working to create a supportive and student-centered environment outside the academic realm.

The Student Experience Committee is committed to enhancing the undergraduate student experience by fostering connections among Mines students, the university, and the broader Golden community. By strengthening these relationships, this committee aims to preserve and amplify the university’s unique traditions and signature student experiences, including supporting student organizations, offering service opportunities, and improving the day-to-day life of Mines students. Through these efforts, we seek to improve campus life and create more engagement opportunities for all students.

The Executive Board shall refer to the primary executive body of the Student Government, which serves to ensure the longevity of and provide direction for the Student Government. The Executive Branch supports USG through various operational tasks and initiatives. These non voting members play various roles in supporting the Senate such as running events, overseeing the student fee allocations process, and meeting with Mines Leadership, community members and state legislators.
