Academic Affairs Committee Mission

The mission of the Academic Affairs Committee is to serve as a liaison between undergraduate students, the administration, and faculty at Mines, working to ensure a high-quality academic experience. The committee is dedicated to upholding the rigor of Mines’ academic standards while fostering academic integrity, student success, and the continuous advancement of academic excellence on campus. Through a range of initiatives and programs, the committee strives to enhance the overall academic environment and support the growth of scholarly achievement.

 

Academic Affairs Initiatives  

The following are current initiatives the Academic Affairs Committee is working on:

  • Bill-Gen AI in the Classroom
    • USG recognizes the growth in the use of Gen AI in the classroom and aims to support students in the integration, cost, and staff training of AI tools.

Previous Initiatives

  • Sabre’ Cook Lecture 
    • Took place on September 2nd, the Academic Affairs Committee enjoyed supporting the featured lecture event in which they provided logistical support and facilitated the Q&A session.
